Responsibilities
Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas and perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards and/or policy violations
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting the appropriate personnel and/or public responders as directed by post orders
Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorization when required and assist with directing visitors to approved locations
Complete detailed activity, incident and/or shift reports, maintaining accurate logs and communicating relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives
Qualification
Required
1 year Security Experience
Be 21+ years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet
