They are seeking a Diagnostic Radiology Advanced Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical/surgical care to patients, perform various procedures, and educate patients and families, while collaborating with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities
Will review up- coming procedure orders, trouble shoot pre procedure discrepancies, and act as a liaison between the ordering providers and the radiologists
Will perform a variety of in and outpatient image-guided procedures autonomously and in collaboration with the Radiologists. Procedure include, however are not limited to, musculoskeletal injections/aspirations, thyroid biopsies, and neuroradiology spine procedures
Educate patient and families regarding the procedures and post procedure care
Participates in clinical research activities and assists in patient entry
Takes active role in ongoing QI/PI activities
Functions as a mentor and resource providing guidance to coworkers and residents
Contribute to radiology residents’ image guided procedure training
Qualification
Required
Current Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or The American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, and interest in performing image guided procedures in Diagnostic Radiology
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to interface and collaborate with patients, families, staff, and physicians effectively
Maintain knowledge of current medical practices and skills
Preferred
Prior experience in healthcare
