Responsibilities
Design and engineer roof and floor truss systems for residential, commercial, and multifamily projects
Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop accurate truss layouts and designs
Collaborate with production, sales, and project management teams to ensure design accuracy, efficiency, and constructability
Prepare drawings, layouts, and material lists using truss design software (MiTek, Alpine, or similar)
Ensure all designs meet state building codes, engineering standards, and customer specifications
Provide design support and revisions throughout production as needed
Qualification
Required
Multiple years of experience in truss design with demonstrated proficiency in roof and floor system layouts
Proficiency with MiTek, Alpine, or similar truss design software
Strong understanding of Florida-specific building codes and construction practices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural, and structural plans
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
