Responsibilities

Review revenue recognition processes across the organization and following evaluation, implement enhancements to achieve consistent, harmonized revenue recognition processes
Manage revenue recognition and other Accounting policies
Review EACs for larger programs to evaluate consistency of EAC process and to approve final submitted EAC on a quarterly basis
Review and approve all revenue recognition checklists to ensure appropriate documentation for new contracts and modifications
Review all accounting and finance policies and procedures to ensure appropriate policies/procedures are in place to ensure consistent accounting treatment in compliance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Drive standardization and documentation of processes and controls
Support adoption of new accounting standards, including the DISE standard
Manage V2X Risk Assessment process in conjunction with VP of Internal Audit. Responsibilities include assessing overall company risk and development of mitigation activities
Continually evaluate and optimize revenue recognition processes, striving to deliver process automation and improved accuracy
Establish strong relationships with inter-departmental peers and be the 'go to' revenue recognition source in the company

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field is required
Minimum of twelve (12) years' of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience with public companies
Experience in government contracting industry
Experience leading process improvement projects
Experience with internal controls and financial reporting, including SEC requirements
High-level systems experience large ERPs (Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, etc)
Experience with FAR and revenue recognition
Management experience leading a team
U.S. Citizenship required
Proven ability and desire to work effectively, delivering accurate results under tight deadlines, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Technically strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC requirements, public company reporting and SOX compliance experience
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and statements
Knowledge of cost accounting principles a plus
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management
Must be “hands on” and a proven and effective leader with experience in leading a corporate accounting or SEC reporting organization while garnering trust and loyalty from subordinates
Microsoft Office Suite 365

Preferred

Experience with a Big 4 or other national accounting firm preferred
International accounting experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred
