Transformation Program Manager

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the foundational program management structure of the assigned portfolio of transformation initiative(s), including project management standards, governance routines, reporting cadences, and documentation templates
Establish a consolidated repository and process to track risks / issues, action items, interdependencies, and decisions (RAID)
Ensure alignment with enterprise-wide project management standards where applicable
Select, configure, and maintain the tools and platforms used to manage the transformation portfolio (e.g., Smartsheet, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
Ensure tools are user-friendly, scalable, and support real-time visibility into program status, risks, and dependencies
Enable an agile and flexible way of working for workstreams that is not overly burdensome with administration and process
Establish and maintain dashboards, trackers, and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress across all transformation workstreams
Provide timely and accurate updates to senior stakeholders, including the SVP, CFO and EOT, as well as 'downward' to the workstream leads, working teams, and any external partners, as needed
Facilitate governance routines such as Steering Committees, workstream check-ins, and risk reviews
Ensure that risks, issues, and decisions are documented, escalated, and resolved in a timely manner
Proactively solicit and incorporate stakeholder feedback to evolve and improve tools, processes, deliverables, etc
Identify opportunities to continually improve program management processes and tools and document best practices
Provide guidance and training to workstream leads and project managers to ensure consistent application of program standards and practices

Required

Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of experience in program/project management
At least 3+ years in a program or portfolio management role
Recognized expertise in project and portfolio management tools and methodologies
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights
Extreme attention to detail
Ability to influence and gain buy-in with key stakeholders to project management processes
Comfort operating independently and proactively identifying areas for improvement
Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S, now or in the future, without the support from McKesson

Preferred

MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
Experience supporting large-scale transformation, M&A, or integration programs in a matrixed enterprise is a significant plus
