Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology campus and/or office environment
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location
Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing guests, vendors, and contractors according to site procedures
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; document observations and notify appropriate contacts when unusual activity is observed
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical incidents, fire alarms, disturbances, and unauthorized access attempts
Write detailed incident reports and shift activity logs, including times, actions taken, and notifications made
Perform screening and package or property checks when assigned, following site policies and respecting privacy and confidentiality requirements
Provide guidance during evacuations and/or shelter-in-place events as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal instructions
Maintain a visible presence that may help to deter unwanted activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and emergency responders
Support workplace conduct expectations by de-escalating conflicts when possible and requesting additional assistance when needed
Qualification
Required
MUST have a valid driver's license with at least a year of driving history
MUST be eligible for hire with AMAZON
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
