Intern - Tax Analyst
Publix Pharmacy is committed to developing its associates through its Summer Internship Program, which prepares young professionals for various workplace opportunities. As a Tax Analyst Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in corporate tax functions and contribute to meaningful projects that support Publix's business objectives.

Responsibilities
Analyze tax data and assist with tax research projects
Account for income taxes and support tax provision processes
Prepare tax returns and work papers for various tax filings
Assist with other departmental projects as assigned
Participate in meetings with Publix executives and deliver an end-of-program presentation to leadership
Qualification
Required
must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May; or if graduating from a bachelor's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester; or if graduating from a master's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester
must be pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in accounting or related field and be a current sophomore or above (rising junior or above as of the program start in Summer 2026) or a graduate student
coordinate your own housing within a commutable distance of the work location
basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
strong analytical skills
ability to organize tasks and information
strong time management and problem-solving skills
Preferred
knowledge of the retail store environment
completion of intermediate accounting and tax undergraduate courses
