Responsibilities
Analytics and business rationale: Under general direction, query data to perform ad hoc analysis, derive hypotheses, and frame conclusions using sound business rationale
Design and Solutioning: Use analytics to develop solution designs that account for cross functional considerations; demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity to proactively identify new opportunities
Industry Knowledge: Applies industry expertise to anticipate upstream and downstream impacts of proposed recommendations and regularly collect input from cross-functional groups to build perspective
Recommendations & Presentation: Develops recommendations supported by valuation, design analytics, and business rationale; presents findings to P&S Product leadership and drives cross-functional alignment on required strategic decisions
Project management skills: Manages complex, ambiguous projects and coordinates working groups to execute on strategic priorities
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of insurance principles and concepts required
Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills
Effective communication skills for writing reports/proposals and making presentations
Ability to work independently and lead others during projects
Knowledge of the business practices and processes
Proficiency with spreadsheets and data base software
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or Insurance preferred; or equivalent experience
Approx 5 or more years related work experience
