Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial assistance and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, including production spaces, warehouses, loading docks, and the exterior perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity
Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and following check-in and key control processes per site policy
Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and access control systems when assigned, and document and escalate irregular conditions
Perform patrol checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas; report maintenance issues such as unsecured openings, damaged fencing, and/or lighting outages through the designated reporting process
Support shipping and receiving operations by observing truck arrival and departure activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following site procedures for dock and yard areas
Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with accurate details, maintaining chain of communication with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision
Enforce site rules in a professional manner while maintaining a customer-focused presence with employees, visitors, and vendors
Participate in briefings, training, and post orders updates, and maintain readiness to follow site instructions during changing operational conditions
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
