IntePros is seeking an entry-level Accountant to support bank loan position servicing within mutual funds. In this role, you will assist with daily reconciliation processes and help manage the full lifecycle of bank loan positions under the guidance of senior team members.

Responsibilities

Support core lifecycle activities for bank loan positions within mutual funds, including trade settlements, funding, interest accruals, paydowns, restructures, amendments, and fee processing
Perform daily cash and position reconciliations across accounting systems, administrators/custodians, and sub-ledger data; document breaks and assist with resolution or escalation
Prepare transaction loaders for basic journal entries and supporting schedules, ensuring proper tie-outs and audit-ready documentation
Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including cutoff procedures, variance explanations, certifications, and control attestations
Maintain checklists, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control documentation related to loan lifecycle events, reconciliations, and NAV processes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Clients, Portfolio Management, NAV Operations, Custody, Loan Administration, Compliance, and Technology
Track exceptions, support root-cause analysis, and contribute ideas for process improvements, data quality checks, and light automation (primarily in Excel)
Support ad hoc requests, audits, regulatory inquiries, and change initiatives impacting bank loan workflows, systems, or reporting

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics
1–3 years of experience in fund accounting, investment operations, or a related field; internships or co-ops in asset management are a plus
Basic understanding of mutual fund accounting concepts under U.S. GAAP and interest in learning bank loan mechanics and NAV principles
Foundational reconciliation skills with the ability to research and resolve cash and position breaks
Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups; willingness to build advanced skills
Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills with the ability to meet daily deadlines
Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset

Preferred

Exposure to Solvas is a plus; strong aptitude for learning new systems and workflows quickly
CPA eligibility or interest in pursuing professional certification is a plus (not required)
