Key Account Manager

Responsibilities
Promote and sell electro-hydraulic ship-mounted cargo handling equipment, bow loading systems and deck machinery products and systems to customers in the offshore segment of the Americas
Identify the customers' specific technical and functional needs and promote the sale and use of MacGregor products, parts, services and specialized project solutions
Apply knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components and systems that comprise advanced bow loading systems, electro-hydraulic ship-mounted cargo handling equipment, and related deck machinery and systems to provide technical presentations for MacGregor products to customers with offshore operations in the U.S. and Brazil
Develop sales budgets and plans for the Americas market segment
Negotiate sales with existing and new customers for ship-mounted cargo handling equipment and services
Assist with the preparation of sales and service sales forecasts and budgets
Monitor sales revenues against forecasts to identify problem areas and adapt procedures or priorities to improve overall sales performance
Contribute to the development of sales, customer retention, pricing, and distribution strategies for the offshore segment of the Americas through the provision of market intelligence and customer information
Support sales and service account representatives on the operational aspects of electro-hydraulic ship-mounted cargo handling equipment, bow loading systems and related products and services and internal procedures
Pursue sales leads and visit existing and new customers to meet or exceed sales target levels and budgets
Refer customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so that procedures can be adapted for changing market conditions and customer demands
Actively investigate and report on customers product installed base (IB) equipment and file related visit reports
Update relevant market and customer information and stay informed regarding order/delivery follow-up of contracts
Apprise management of higher-level support requirements, such as when customer relationships are in jeopardy
Actively pursue collection of account receivables with support of local controller
Develop and implements sales tactics and action plans with manager’s approval and work with the sales support teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer, Marine, or Mechatronics Engineering
Three (3) years of experience as Service Engineer in the marine, merchant and offshore market
The three (3) years of experience must have included performing on-board commissioning, installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, upgrade, and maintenance of bow loading systems, advanced electro-hydraulic ship-mounted cargo handling equipment, and deck machinery products and systems in an offshore vessel setting, as well as carrying out inspections, troubleshooting, repair and optimization of electro-hydraulic, automation, control, mechanical, and safety components and systems
20% domestic and 20% international travel required to customers in the U.S. and Brazil
May telecommute from home within the Houston, Texas MSA up to two (2) days per week
