Responsibilities
Assist with maintaining and monitoring court deadlines for assigned cases
Support paralegals with daily tasks including document organization, maintenance, and production
Handle routine calls and correspondence with courts, outside counsel, and clients in a professional manner
Utilize litigation software and firm systems to manage case files, deadlines, and document workflows efficiently
Adapt to changing priorities and work overtime to meet business and client demands
Qualification
Required
At least one year of hands-on litigation support experience in a law firm, including familiarity with case management and court filing processes
General understanding of the litigation life cycle and the role of a paralegal, or recent completion of a paralegal certification program
Well-developed critical thinking and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Strong sense of accountability and ownership over projects and responsibilities
Proactive issue resolution skills
Ability to work as a true team player
Proficiency in learning new software and technology
Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tasks
Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet business demands
Preferred
A two- or four-year degree and paralegal certificate are highly preferred, though relevant work experience may substitute for formal education
