Director of Finance
MapLarge is seeking a Director of Finance to own the operational backbone of how revenue turns into cash. This role is pivotal in aligning the go-to-market function around predictable revenue, billing accuracy, and cash collection, ensuring complex enterprise and government deals are billed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Finance and Operations on revenue forecasting, billing schedules, deferred revenue, and collections
Own end-to-end enterprise and government billing, including milestone-based billing, revenue share and partner billing, pass-through and reimbursable costs, and contract modifications or scope changes
Ensure invoice accuracy, revenue compliance, and audit-ready records
Responsible for revenue recognition governance for GAAP audits
Serve as the primary finance interface for Account Managers on large and complex deals, translating contracts and SOWs into accurate invoices and revenue schedules
Implement scalable processes that improve billing accuracy, reduce disputes, and accelerate cash collection
Maintain operating rhythms related to billed, earned, deferred, and collected revenue
Support the full contract-to-cash lifecycle including contract interpretation, invoicing, revenue scheduling, dispute resolution, and collections support
Administer and optimize CRM alongside billing and accounting systems
Build dashboards and models that provide visibility into billed versus earned revenue, deferred and unbilled revenue, backlog, and cash flow forecasting
Conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify revenue leakage, deal profitability, and operational risk
Serve as a second line of review and operational backup for the accounting and billing function
Qualification
Required
4 Year College Degree
CPA
6+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Billing Operations, Accounting, or Finance in an enterprise software or government-contracting environment
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong controls and accuracy mindset
Hands-on experience with complex billing models such as milestone billing, revenue share, multi-contract customers, or government invoicing
Strong proficiency in CRM systems and financial or billing systems
Understanding of revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and contract-driven billing
Clear communicator who can translate contract terms and deal structures into invoices and revenue schedules
Self-starter with a process-driven approach and comfort operating in a fast-growing environment
Preferred
Audit or financial diligence experience
Federal government billing experience (WAWF, IPP, or similar)
Experience with partner, reseller, or revenue-share models
SaaS or enterprise software background
