Responsibilities
Perform audits of the sheets coming off the corrugator looking for any non-conforming product
Perform audits of finished boxes coming off finishing machines looking for any non-conformance in procedures
Perform audits of finished units coming off banders and handling of forklifts looking for any non-conformance
Perform quality tests as needed for customer demand
Maintain sampling for plant and corporate testing
Ensure calibration of all lab equipment and measuring equipment supplied to converting operations
Work with corrugator department, converting department, and shipping department on any non-conforming material and isolating and maintaining to customer’s needs
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
Additional duties may be assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Exceptional MS Access and Excel skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form
Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations
Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Occasionally required to sit
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration
Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
