Responsibilities
Provide plant engineering support to operations group including plant optimization, troubleshooting, efficiency improvement, problem solving, and problem prevention. Responsible for leveraging ideas and assistance including resources at the assigned plant site
Responsible for commissioning and start-up support for assigned projects
Support current business initiatives. Typical initiatives include specific problem-solving projects or improvement activities involving the assigned site
Ensure site safety and environmental standards are being followed through safety audits, risk assessments, and housekeeping tours
Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers
Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering required
Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment
Excellent written and communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management
Must demonstrate ability to influence others; requires strong leadership qualities, and team building
Project Management
Proficiency in MS Office products, PI/OSISoft products or similar data historian, added benefit if the experience is with AutoCAD, Minitab or other statistical software/programming a plus
Competent in understanding and translating data analytics
0+ years of related experience required for Engineer I
2+ years or more of related experience required for Engineer II
4+ years or more of related experience required for Engineer III
8+ years or more of related experience required for Engineer Senior
Preferred
Professional Engineer certification preferred
SAP/Maximo application experience preferred
Experience in related co-op or internship is preferred for Engineer I
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience preferred for Engineer II
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in multi team roles preferred for Engineer III
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading cross functional teams preferred for Engineer Senior
