Senior Program Aid

Responsibilities
Engage senior participants in programs, activities and events; effectively monitor participants while on outings and events
Ensure proper supervision and safety measures while on excursions and events
Responsible for driving a 15-passenger van for trips and monitors the use and care of the 15-passenger vans
Assists in preparing program activities and excursions for the active adults
Develops positive, professional, and mentoring relationships with the seniors
Ability to work with the public in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
Ensure activities are conducted in a safe manner and in compliance with relevant policies and regulations
Assists in marketing of programs and activities
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license
CPR/AED/ First Aid certifications, or obtainable within 30 days from date of hire
CIRSA Defensive Driving Course, or obtainable within 30 days from date of hire
Preferred
Previous experience working with senior populations
Knowledge of recreational activities
