Responsibilities
Lead the coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of programs using C on Unix and Linux platforms
Resolve complex business and technical product integration issues, focusing on specific product families across multiple platforms
Perform complex SQL development, query tuning, and work extensively with Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
Gather requirements, prepare documentation for system changes, and develop comprehensive test plans to verify logic for new or modified programs
Function independently within business areas to influence technical decisions and conduct quality assurance activities like peer reviews
Assist in resolving high-priority production issues and suggest alternative approaches to problem-solving
Qualification
Required
Deep expertise in UNIX/Linux, C, and SQL
6+ years of application development and batch programming specifically in C, Unix, Linux, and Oracle (SQL/PL/SQL) environments
Experience in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and implementing programs using C on Unix and Linux platforms
Ability to resolve complex business and technical product integration issues
Perform complex SQL development, query tuning, and work extensively with Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
Gather requirements, prepare documentation for system changes, and develop comprehensive test plans
Function independently within business areas to influence technical decisions and conduct quality assurance activities
Assist in resolving high-priority production issues and suggest alternative approaches to problem-solving
Ability to write clear specifications for complex programs and create thorough technical documentation
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
Preferred
Highly desired experience in Healthcare IT systems (specifically Claims processing and/or Medicaid Management Information Systems - MMIS)
Proven expertise in batch job automation and notification services
Advanced SQL query tuning
