Responsibilities
Advise on investment committee processes, deal screening, and approval frameworks
Provide independent perspectives on underwriting assumptions, risk factors, and downside protection
Support sponsors and funds during key decision points in live transactions
Mentor analysts and deal teams to elevate IC-ready materials and institutional standards
Build a verified Investment Committee Advisory Track Record within the Initio Sphere ecosystem
Review and challenge investment memos, models, and diligence outputs
Advise on deal structuring, risk allocation, and return optimization
Participate in mock or live investment committee discussions as an independent advisor
Provide go/no-go recommendations and decision frameworks (non-binding)
Guide analysts and deal scouts on IC-level thinking, presentation, and rigor
Support post-approval strategy, portfolio considerations, and value creation planning
Qualification
Required
Former investment bankers, PE/VC professionals, fund managers, or senior operators with deep experience evaluating, approving, and executing capital transactions
Demonstrated transaction experience, judgment under real capital risk, and the ability to contribute meaningfully at the investment decision level
Independent judgment and risk assessment capabilities
Experience in investment committee processes, deal screening, and approval frameworks
Ability to provide independent perspectives on underwriting assumptions, risk factors, and downside protection
Experience in advising on deal structuring, risk allocation, and return optimization
Mentorship experience for analysts and deal teams to elevate IC-ready materials and institutional standards
