Start in 2026 SummerThe Museum of Modern Art is offering a summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical experience in museum work. The Individual Philanthropy Intern will support fundraising efforts through donor stewardship, database management, and research projects, while developing essential administrative skills.

Responsibilities
Support the creation and distribution of donor stewardship materials, including exhibition summaries, stewardship letters, and gift acknowledgements
Assist with the planning and execution of one or more donor cultivation events
Undertake a comprehensive data and information management project within the Museum’s physical and digital files, updating donor contact information, and expanding research data
Analyze current committee practices and develop new standards for stewardship and engagement
Collaborate with curatorial and development representatives to understand, record, and address departmental needs
Qualification
Required
Minimum of two years of college completed (or equivalent) by June 2026
Demonstrated interest or experience in the arts and/or arts administration, preferably fundraising and relationship management
Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Excellent oral, written, and communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Asana, and CRM database
