College Intern - Purchasing and Contracts
Envoy Air is the largest regional airline in the American Airlines Group and is seeking a college intern to assist the Purchasing and Contracts department. This internship offers the opportunity to work on projects that involve data analysis, supplier management, and business process improvements within the commercial aviation sector.

Responsibilities
Meeting with Manager to define objectives and develop assumptions
Combining data from multiple sources, including numeric, historical procurement transactions, warranty and technical documents
Financial and cash flow analysis
Analyzing data consistent with assigned objectives such as cost, availability, supplier performance, demand forecasts
Developing summary of results, recommendations and alternatives
Presenting findings to Manager
Meeting with colleagues across multiple departments, suppliers and management
Assessing certain consumable parts for changes to supplier prices and lead times. This will provide priority for supplier discussions, alternate sourcing opportunities and setting targets for improvements. The intern will learn about market indicators, impact of escalation on commodities and the role of good data collection and analysis in setting expectations and targets
Manage a Request For Proposal (RFP) for a specified group of consumable parts. The intern will learn about using data to shape priorities, understand the commercial and administrative aspect of managing RFPs, perform data analysis, develop price targets, interface with suppliers, and prepare recommendations for program award
Assist with assorted data gathering, analysis and briefing slides to support commercial discussions during the annual Air Show executive team meetings. The intern will learn the importance of tailoring our commercial message to the intended audience and setting reasonable and achievable expectations

Required
Minimum age of 18
Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in: Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management Supply Chain Management with a focus on business analytics, not logistics
Must be classified as a Junior or Senior upon start of internship
3.25 minimum Grade Point Average
Advanced proficiency in MS Office that includes Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Proficiency in organizational, decision-making and problem solving skills
Ability to present data to all levels of management
Must be willing and able to travel
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Experience sorting, organizing, analyzing and presenting large data sets
Experience with problem solving, forecasting, and advanced financial analytical skills
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
Possess the legal right to work in the United States
