Responsibilities
Preparing and delivering thorough and engaging engineering-related lessons
Utilizing PLTW curriculum plans
Providing instruction aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards
Fostering a positive and interactive learning environment for students
Assessing and evaluating student progress
Communicating with parents
Collaborating with colleagues
Participating in professional development opportunities as required
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum design to deliver effective and innovative instruction aligned with state standards
Experience or training in Education, including knowledge of instructional techniques and classroom management
Strong Communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
Competence in Teaching and applying best practices to support students' learning and skill development
Ability to provide Training and mentorship to students in engineering concepts and projects
Strong organizational and time management skills in a classroom setting
Relevant certification and endorsement to teach CTE Engineering or ability to obtain required credentials prior to employment
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Education, or a related field is required
Preferred
Familiarity with technology and tools used in teaching engineering concepts is an advantage
