Departmental Technician-E9 (Records Office)
NEOGOV is seeking a Departmental Technician-E9 for the Records Office at the Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility. This role involves managing court documents, processing prisoner transfers, and ensuring accurate data entry and reporting related to prisoner conduct and movements.

Responsibilities
Research and analyze data from MDOC and outside agency databases and prepare reports on a daily basis to assist other facility staff
Review and interpretation of data from the Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN), Offender Management Network Information system (OMNI), Offender Management System (OMS), and Michigan Criminal Justice Information Network (MiCJIN) to complete all tasks
Data entry, file maintenance, and technical duties related to prisoner misconducts
Qualification
Required
Education typically acquired through completion of high school
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service
One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service
One year of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service
Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service
Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement
Possession of a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirement
Possession of a Bachelor's degree and one year of job-related experience may be substituted for the experience requirement
Employment in the state classified service demands a high degree of loyalty and imposes high ethical standards on employees to ensure the integrity of state government and maintain effective services
