Vice President of Business Development

Responsibilities
Ability to build new business from the ground up using entrepreneurial tactics
Expand the new citrus fiber brand and technology presence in the beverage industry via existing beverage customer relationships, Fiberstar marketing and other external partnerships
Build, manage, and foster relationships with key beverage clients, distributors, and industry partners domestically
Execute new-business sales cycle, from lead generation through contract execution and implementation
Present and give compelling pitches to customers
Develop and execute 2 to 5-year year business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion which align with the company’s mission
Collaborate with the executive leadership team to align new business initiatives with corporate strategy, financial goals, and long-term vision
Develop business models, setting budgets and ensuring the new division’s path to profitability (P&L management)
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and generate strategic leads
Maintain deep industry expertise, providing market feedback and insights to inform product innovation and strategic planning
Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product development, operations, and finance to ensure market-aligned offerings and successful go-to-market execution
Participate in board meetings or shareholder communications to report on the division’s progress
Qualification
Required
Only candidates with BEVERAGE INGREDIENT selling experience will be considered
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive sales and business development food ingredient experience in the B2B beverage industry
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing or Food Science
Strong understanding of beverage emulsions and acacia gum as an ingredient
Extensive network of industry contacts which is essential for rapid startup growth
Proven track record of driving revenue growth through new business development, territory management, and consistent achievement of sales targets
Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a remote, field-based role while managing travel
Highly organized and goal-oriented
Excellent communication skills
Ability to navigate the ambiguity of an unestablished division
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
CRM and/or ERP software experience
Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
