Computer Numerical Control Programmer
Navigate Search is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to join their growing manufacturing team. The role involves setting up and operating CNC machines, developing and troubleshooting CNC programs, and ensuring high-quality production of precision-machined parts.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines in accordance with work orders, engineering drawings, and specifications
Develop, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using manual G- and M-code programming and/or CAD/CAM software
Experience with Fadal VMC machines is preferred but not required
Utilize CAD/CAM software, specifically PowerStation; prior PowerStation experience is a plus, though training will be provided
Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts to ensure compliance with customer blueprints and quality standards
Accurately use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) for quality control
Manage and organize tooling, setup documentation, and program sheets
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
Adapt to changing priorities and assist in other departments as needed to meet customer demands
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Consistently arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3–5 years of CNC programming and operating experience
Strong understanding of machining processes and blueprint reading
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
Preferred
Experience with Fadal VMC machines is preferred but not required
