Field Service Technician (90% Travel)
SKAN is seeking a Field Service Technician who will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment. The role involves providing service at customer sites, performing preventative maintenance, and managing documentation while traveling extensively.

Responsibilities
Provide regular service on SKAN isolators located at customer sites in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico
Provide preventative maintenance and calibration services at the customer location
Perform requalification services on SKAN isolators to include air flow analysis, HEPA filtration scanning, etc
Execution of GMP compliant documentation
Ability to create detailed service reports
Maintain professional appearance and attitude when working on SKAN customer sites
Interacting and conversing with both external customers and internal SKAN Sales, Service and technical support teams
Travel 90% (including overnight and occasional weekend/holiday travel)
Managing time and workload to ensure that jobs are completed within expected timelines, including scheduling own travel, submitting expenses, booking hours, and coordinating with other parties in preparation for starting work at the customer site
Submitting punch and findings lists at the conclusion of each job
Promote company service contracts, maintenance, and consumable products
Field experience with requalification preferred
Technical Training, Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatic experience preferred
Prior experience in cGMP or other heavily regulated industries preferred
Qualification
Required
Desire to Travel- Valid drivers license and passport required
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to wear standard-size cleanroom gowning while maintaining compliance with safety and cleanliness protocols
Able to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally
Able to stand for long periods
Possess the physical flexibility to perform common physical tasks associated with field service of large and small industrial equipment, bending, crouching, stretching, etc
Preferred
Field experience with requalification preferred
An associate degree, certificate, or time spent in college preferred
Technical Training, Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatic experience preferred
Prior experience in cGMP or other heavily regulated industries preferred
Higher technical education preferred
Graduated at SKAN academy (within the first 6 months on the job)
