Responsibilities

Perform repair work (concessions/discrepancies)
Positioning and assembly of components
Rework of external skin damage of the aircraft
Work in compliance with production orders, design documents, concessions and inspection procedures
Prepare and solve queries, ensure follow-up and give feedback
Examine and sort work orders and drawings
Prepare job station for daily activity
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or GED
Required experience: 2 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent- I.E Shipbuilding, Heavy Machinery, Automotive Manufacturing, Military Aviation, MRO
Previous hands-on experience with drilling tools, templates, drilling machines, fasteners, and torqueing tools
Knowledge of station safety, quality (clean as you go/FOD) and OSHA regulations
Blueprint Reading: Can you build a product solely by reading a complex engineering drawing or schematic?
Precision Measurement: proficiency with calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and dial indicators
Torque Specifications: Understanding that bolts must be tightened to a specific number (e.g., 'torqued to 50 in-lbs.') rather than just 'hand tight.'
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Experience following a written 'recipe' for assembly where you cannot deviate from the instructions
Documentation: Experience signing off on your work, logging parts, or tracking lot numbers for quality control
Sheet Metal Fabricator: Cutting, bending, riveting, and deburring metal
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Able to enter, generate and retrieve information using a computer (SAP and Excel knowledge required)

Preferred

Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques
Completion of a technology Certification of Training program from a post-secondary institution or a previous employer and documentation of the same
Preferred: 5+ years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent- I.E Shipbuilding, Heavy Machinery, Automotive Manufacturing, Military Aviation, MRO
