Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable data flow between core systems (e.g., Symitar, CRM, digital banking platforms)
Manage data warehouse and data lake environments for structured and unstructured data
Implement data governance, quality assurance, and compliance with industry standards (NCUA, GLBA, etc)
Develop and optimize dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
Partner with business units to define KPIs and analytical needs for lending, marketing, operations, and member experience
Automate recurring reports and improve data self-service capabilities across the organization
Build and deploy predictive models to support member segmentation, credit risk assessment, and fraud detection
Collaborate on AI-driven chatbots, recommendation engines, and personalized financial insights
Evaluate emerging AI tools and integrate them securely within the credit union’s environment
Work closely with IT, Finance, and Marketing teams to translate business challenges into data solutions
Support strategic planning through analytics and forecasting
Train and mentor staff on data literacy and AI use cases
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI, or related field
5+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or applied AI
Proficiency in SQL, Python and data visualization platforms
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Familiarity with API's, RESTful services, and data security best practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Financial services or credit union experience strongly preferred
Experience with NLP, LLMs, or generative AI tools
Familiarity with predictive analytics for member behavior or lending decisions
Knowledge of regulatory data requirements for credit unions
Background in MLOps, data pipelines, or real-time analytics
