7+ years expAvsar Construction is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager II – Technology to lead the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical technology infrastructure projects within complex construction environments. This role bridges IT, Facilities, and Construction, ensuring fully integrated, high-performance environments that include network infrastructure, audiovisual systems, and physical security solutions.

Responsibilities
Manage 9–14 concurrent technology projects, each with scopes up to $75M, including data infrastructure, audiovisual systems, access control, and surveillance
Lead design coordination meetings with architects, low-voltage consultants, and MEP engineers to ensure proper IT and facilities systems integration
Oversee implementation of physical security platforms (e.g., Lenel, Milestone, Axis or similar systems)
Manage audiovisual deployments across classrooms, lecture halls, auditoriums, athletic facilities, and campus environments, ensuring ADA compliance and functional performance (e.g., Extron-based systems)
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for technical accuracy and contract compliance
Perform project risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies with cost and construction teams
Oversee commissioning, training, and project closeout processes and continuously improve turnover standards
Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular reporting to leadership and stakeholders
Coordinate closely with contractors, integrators, engineers, and end users during live construction phases
Qualification
Required
7+ years managing large-scale IT and low-voltage construction projects, with at least 3 years in higher education, public-sector, or similarly complex environments
Proven experience managing AV, data, and physical security infrastructure from design through commissioning
Strong experience working with consultants, engineers, and integrators under Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery models
Working knowledge of Division 27 and 28 specifications
Experience with budgeting, scoping, and procurement of network, AV, and security systems
Proficiency with BIM/Revit, Bluebeam, and construction coordination tools
Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors and end users during active construction
Preferred
Project Management certification (PMP or similar)
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
CTS, CCIE, ASIS, or similar certifications
Experience with Design-Build project delivery
Familiarity with publicly funded projects and procurement processes
Experience deploying cloud-based IT and facilities systems
Knowledge of TIA/EIA industry standards
Experience integrating AV, electronic security, and high-speed data networks within construction environments
Experience with air-blown fiber solutions and modern network infrastructure (e.g., Cisco, Aruba)
