Mechanical Design Engineer
Girodisc Racing Brakes is a rapidly growing company focused on technical excellence and high-quality products. The Mechanical Design Engineer will design and develop brake components, apply lean manufacturing principles, and collaborate with machinists and customers to innovate and improve products.

All aspects of brake component design and development
Data and document management
Applying lean manufacturing principles, 5 whys and 6 sigma
Tooling and fixturing design
Develop new and innovative braking related tools and products
Contribute to process improvement initiatives with Manufacturing department
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) or equivalent
5+ years of industry experience in product development
3D CAD, FEA expertise – (Solidworks/Fusion360/SimScale or equivalent)
Proficiency in creating mechanical drawings using GD&T
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills while staying highly organized
Excellent communication skills
Passion for motorsports is a must and a strong understanding of performance automotive mechanical systems

Work Location: In person
Preferred
Background in automotive braking systems or high-performance aftermarket
Hands on brake related and performance automotive repair skills
Experience in Formula SAE is a big plus
