Chiparama is seeking a highly experienced Staff CAD Engineer to join their central CAD team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for deploying PDK and Physical Verification (PV) flows, enabling and supporting design teams by maintaining a robust CAD environment.

Responsibilities

Download, install, configure, and maintain foundry PDKs for advanced process nodes
Customize PDKs and design flows to meet internal design requirements
Perform PDK QA, validation, documentation, and versioned releases
Provide ongoing PDK support to global design teams
Develop, customize, and support Calibre DRC and LVS flows
Maintain and enhance Calibre rule decks and runsets
Support designers with DRC/LVS debugging and issue resolution
Improve PV efficiency, reliability, and runtime performance
Support Cadence Virtuoso schematic and layout environments
Enable and support full-custom and analog layout workflows
Assist with netlisting, simulation, and physical verification integration
Develop scripts to automate CAD, PDK, and physical verification flows
Improve design productivity through automation and tool enhancements
Work closely with foundry engineers, design engineers, and layout teams
Provide technical guidance, training, and documentation for CAD flows and EDA tools

Required

Strong experience with PDK deployment and support
Hands-on expertise in Calibre DRC and LVS
Experience with advanced FinFET nodes (7nm / 5nm)
Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso for full-custom design
Experience supporting analog and custom layout teams
Education: BSEE with 10+ years of relevant experience OR MSEE with 8+ years of relevant experience
