Architectural Associate
The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking an Architectural Associate to support the Space Planning and Management department. The role involves updating campus building floorplans, coordinating information between databases, conducting building surveys, and overseeing student assistants.
Education
Responsibilities
Update, correct, and maintain official campus building floorplans using AutoCAD
Coordinate the flow of information between the AutoCAD drawing database and the Archibus space inventory database
Assist with data entry and quality review for the annual space utilization inventory survey
Conduct on-site building surveys to verify floorplans and space data as needed
Assign official building numbers and coordinate or recommend room numbering for new and renovated spaces
Train, coordinate, and oversee the work of student architectural assistants
Develop complex or specialty plans on an as-needed basis
Work with Campus Facilities departments to track project milestones, collect construction documents, and update official floorplans in a timely manner
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in area of specialty or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Licensure or eligibility for licensure may be required
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired
