YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SPECIALISTS- VARIABLE HOUR
County of Monroe is dedicated to supporting youth and families through education and mental health services. The Youth Development Specialist will work under the supervision of the ESS Lead Supervisor to foster relationships with youth and assist them in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities
Proactively supports youth involved in the community-based program
Develops trusting, professional and encouraging relationships with youth in efforts to help them achieve educational and personal goals to succeed within the community
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 30 credit hours from an accredited college in the field of Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or related Human Service field
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check including but not limited to state/national criminal history check, DHS central registry check and professional references
Possession of a valid driver's license
Must complete Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques training within 6 months of employment to prevent serious injury to a youth, self-injury or injury of others after all other means of less restrictive techniques have been exhausted
