Responsibilities
Structure and negotiate complex real estate financings, including syndicated loans, mezzanine debt, and tax-exempt bond deals
Conduct due diligence, draft agreements, and advise on multi-state acquisitions, leasing, and development issues
Handle construction/permanent loans, revolving credit facilities, and government-guaranteed (FHA/VA) financings
Represent lenders/creditors in problem loan workouts, bankruptcies, foreclosures, and property dispositions
Collaborate on innovative solutions blending finance with tax, partnership, and affordable housing expertise
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active bar admission in New York
3+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions
Strong understanding of real estate finance, including syndicated loans and mezzanine debt
Experience with tax-exempt bond deals and government-guaranteed financings
Ability to conduct due diligence and draft complex agreements
Experience advising on multi-state acquisitions and leasing issues
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to represent lenders/creditors in workouts, bankruptcies, and foreclosures
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
