Product Analyst

Geon Performance Solutions is seeking a Product Analyst to support their strategic product management and business development teams for their global portfolio. The role involves assisting a cross-functional team to achieve business objectives, contribute to profit and loss, and perform complex analysis.

Responsibilities

Assist in monitoring business results, initiate actions to achieve EBITDA targets, analyze sales records, complete market research, and ensure product availability meets customer needs
Support overall EBITDA, help expand profit margins, manage product pricing, monitor product gross margins, and drive market measurement and tracking activities
Assist in developing and implementing product line strategy, oversee new product launches, manage product profitability, and ensure compliance with regulations
Ensure that product development aligns with strategic goals and market needs
Oversee and coordinate the analysis of pricing information through internal and external sources to identify opportunities and measure progress
Provide pricing expertise and interpretations of key pricing measures and tools; make suggestions for improvements in support of VCT plans
Communicate and interpret the results of pricing analyses to the commercial organization in a form that is used to drive improvements
Support staff in managing existing product groups, new product development, and programs
Coordinate with production, sales, research, manufacturing, and distribution teams
Monitor business results and portfolio performance. Analyze sales records and performance against targets. Provide continuous support to customers and commercial teams
Review and manage product pricing processes. Monitor product gross margins and profitability. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability and compliance
Generate and monitor sales campaigns. Conduct marketing/sales calls to maintain customer contact and evaluate market trends. Create Monthly Business Reviews with Leadership. Drive internal conversation/narrative about business status
Participate in quarterly strategic planning sessions to align product development and marketing strategies with overall business goals. Conduct comprehensive reviews of product performance, including sales, profitability, and market share analysis. Ensure new product launches are on track and meet the requirements of the Stage Gate process. Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement. Update business outlook for senior leadership

Required

BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related discipline
Prior experience with B2B pricing
Manufacturing or industrial experience a plus
Previous Product Line Management experience a plus
Working knowledge of strategy beyond pricing mechanics
Demonstrated project management skills and experience
Complete understanding of the Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)
Advanced skills in Excel (Pivot tables, Lookup functions, Macros, etc.) preferred
Ability to effectively use analytical or theoretical approaches to problem-solving
Well organized and detail-oriented with outstanding time management skills
Effective oral and written communication skills as well as proven presentation skills
Self-motivated and eager to take the initiative; with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and as an individual
High partnership requirement to work with the sales team, gaining trust and understanding of pricing decisions and education of the team surrounding decisions
Complex analytical thinking and problem solving skills to translate business needs into solutions
Effective communication skills: oral, written, and presentation
Self-motivated with excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
Basic budgeting and product pricing experience
Ability to foster teamwork and build collaborative relationships
Strong computer skills in Excel/PowerPoint/Access

Preferred

MBA is a plus
Sigma and/or SAP proficiency a plus
Salesforce.com/Monday.com experience is a plus
