NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join their expanding Digital Business Services Team. The role focuses on delivering key Digital business-related services and supporting NHS Lanarkshire’s Digital Strategy to enhance health and social care services.

Responsibilities

Help to lead the delivery of key Digital business-related services
Supporting the wider delivery of NHS Lanarkshire’s Digital Strategy to transform our health and social care services
Provide comprehensive project management, planning, and service improvement expertise across several key work streams
Provide day-to-day leadership and line management of the Business Services Team
Further developing the functions of Business Services Team to support the priorities of the wider Digital Directorate and NHS Lanarkshire

Required

Educated to degree level or equivalent with qualification in an Informatics / Information Technology or business-management field
Post graduate expertise within the area of practice area that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
Comprehensive knowledge of the operation of core IT systems in use within NHS Lanarkshire
Knowledge, acquired through experience, of the operation of clinical and non-clinical departments across all sectors of NHSL
Knowledge of project management methodology
Knowledge of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library)
Influencing, negotiating and mediation skills, able to gain credibility and confidence of a wide range of NHS professionals and senior managers
Excellent inter-personal, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
Initiative, independence of action and maturity of judgement
Ability to deal with often conflicting demands and priorities, and working under pressure
Good understanding of NHS Scotland direction, priorities and structures and an ability to think strategically in respect of programmes national and local in terms of how they impact on Digital strategy
Knowledge of current legislation on Data Protection, Freedom of Information, Diversity, etc
The post holder will come into contact with multiple applications and systems across all sectors of NHS Lanarkshire, Acute, General Practice Community as well as Health and Social care integrated environments. The post holder will have to develop detailed and comprehensive knowledge of each of these as part of their service management responsibilities
