Responsibilities
Cultivate customer relationships, establishing strategic relationships with key buyers, product development, and senior management personnel
Broker prices and terms while preparing sales agreements
Oversee corn oil positions, evaluate and identify market trends to maximize profitability
Coordinate and schedule day-to-day logistics (rail and trucks)
Collaborate cross-functionally with plant personnel and oversee inventory management
Deliver timely and accurate weekly/monthly P&L reporting, while verifying market prices
Secure timely payment from customers within contractual requirements and timelines
Explore and implement potential new strategies to improve network efficiency and profitability for the trade unit
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Agri-business, or similar field; formal training in agricultural commodity trading/position management is a plus
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant trading experience preferred
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications
Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly the ability to work well in a team
Experience working with diverse teams
Outstanding negotiation, analytical, and business skills
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing sales strategies
Valid driver's license required
Preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant trading experience preferred
Physical agriculture products trading, transportation / shipping and arbitrage experience a plus
Experience with risk management preferred
