Information Resource Asset Management Technician

Responsibilities
Deploy equipment (PC, printers, carts, peripherals, mounts etc) according to equipment lifecycle schedule. This includes cable management
Receive, unbox, assemble, label, equipment prior to distribution to customer or stockroom
Perform physical inventory of assets on the floor or stockroom and reconcile discrepancies
Perform equipment checks to ensure equipment is operational and properly deployed (in good repair, cable managed, clean). Attempt remediation and escalate as needed to technical teams
Enter new equipment into inventory system of record, update records when equipment is moved, run reports within asset tracking system as needed
Decommission equipment, which includes removing from floor, palletizing, updating asset tracking info, working with surplus warehouse to remove equipment
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Education High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience 1 year inventory/asset or related experience, preferably involving computer equipment and peripherals
Licenses and Certifications (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE possession/maintenance of acceptable UT System driver rating
