Drivability and Emissions Technician - PSRS II.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is committed to maintaining air quality and enhancing public health. They are seeking a Drivability and Emissions Technician to perform vehicle mass emissions tests, provide technical support related to emissions failures, and assist the public and repair industry with inquiries about the Colorado emissions program.

Responsibilities

Inspect, Diagnose, Document Vehicle Emissions Failures for Motorists
Support technical evaluation and study vehicle intake
Inspect, Diagnose, Document, and Repair Study Vehicles
Participate in outreach and training
Investigate Motorists Complaints
Other Duties As Assigned

Qualification

ASE Master CertificationASE L1 CertificationAutomotive diagnosisVehicle emissions testingBilingual English/SpanishTechnical supportCustomer serviceData documentation

Required

Six (6) years of relevant experience in a dealership or independent repair facility performing job duties as a drivability technician
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in automotive diagnosis and repair equal to six (6) years

Preferred

Previous State Service related to the work assigned to the position (REQUIRED)
ASE Master Certification (A1-A8)
ASE L1 Certification
Bilingual English/Spanish
