Test Technician
Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Test Technician to join their team. The role involves testing product components and parts, performing sub-assembly test procedures, and ensuring product performance meets defined criteria under supervision.
Responsibilities
Performs the set-up, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and assemblies
Performs hand set-ups for AC and DC digital and analog tests
Set-up burn-in for complete units and transformer testing
Preliminary and final test of complete assemblies and recording data on test results
Analysis of failure and independent judgment is required to determine appropriate course of action during troubleshooting
Operates analog and digital oscilloscopes and meters, power supplies, special AC test fixtures and similar test equipment
Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure the work is accurate and complete
Able to follow instructions and review work activities with supervisors
Complete job function in a timely manner with high quality
Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed
Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Test Manager
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Test assemblies per blueprint, ATPs and specifications daily
Perform in process inspections
Meet production schedule
Request material from stockroom as necessary
Learn new products and functions as required
Understand/perform all production processes without help
Assist in training of new personnel
Ensure policies and procedures are followed
Promote team work and constructive work behaviors
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Able to read blueprints, specifications and schematics
Must have good oral, written communications and have a high level of moral and ethical codes
Basic calculations, with a calculator to determine equivalent measurements, settings or outputs from equations
Basic electronics understanding to set-up and operator test equipment
Low-voltage and high-voltage testing experienced
Must be to read, write and speak English
Technical Degree in Electronics or equivalent work experience
Ability to read and comprehend diagrams and procedures written in English
Experience with hand tools, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, generators, and soldering equipment
Preferred
Soldering experience preferred but not required
One or more years in a similar field preferred
Good oral and written communication skills
