Responsibilities
No weekend call!
Average daily inpatient census ~6 patients
Manage 3-4 consults on the med/surg unit monthly
Provide high-quality psychiatric care to 14-16 patients per day
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for adult and/or geriatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
Collaborate with other psychiatrists, NPs, social workers, nurses and primary care providers
Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning
Offer consultation liaison to support to medical surgical units as needed
Document and maintain accurate patient records
Deliver care through a mix of in-person and telepsychiatry

Required
Degree Required MD/DO
BC/BE Psychiatry
Eligible for Virginia licensure
