Software Manager

The Software Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide software systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and leading vendor engagement and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise software solutions and core business systems, ensuring alignment with Ecovyst’s strategic objectives
Oversee day-to-day operations of enterprise applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across SAP and integrated platforms
Partner with business units to translate organizational needs into technical requirements and system enhancements, particularly for SAP ECC and related modules
Manage software integration projects to ensure seamless communication between diverse platforms and technologies, including SAP, and other Ecovyst systems
Implement governance for sensitive access, segregation of duties (SOD), and compliance with internal audit standards. Support remediation projects and role redesign initiatives
Conduct regular system audits, implement upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to maintain system integrity and performance
Coordinate with vendors and external partners for system acquisition, support, and issue resolution

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in enterprise software management, including SAP environments
Strong background in system integration, compliance, and IT governance
Proven experience in managing large-scale software projects and cross-functional teams. Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid architectures
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data privacy regulations
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to optimize operational workflows
Comprehensive understanding of database management systems, including experience with SQL and data modeling
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and version control systems such as Git
Self-starting personality; ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously; ability to work independently and make decisions
Strong strategic and analytical skills, able to envision multiple alternatives for a complex set of business decisions and foster critical evaluations of alternatives
Willing to take initiative and rely on personal skills to achieve results
Ability to allocate resources appropriately to meet group and corporate objectives
Excellent multi-project management skills with a sense of urgency and the ability to perform under tight time pressures required
Ability to negotiate to mutually acceptable outcomes. Assertive with strong diplomacy and presentation skills
Very strong drive, dedication, and work ethic. Extremely team-oriented with the ability to contribute
Ability to travel domestic and internationally
Strong organization and problem-solving skills
