They are seeking a Burrow Edge Data Center Operations technician to provide support for Edge & PoP Data Centers in the Houston, TX region, focusing on troubleshooting and maintaining network and server hardware.

Responsibilities
Triaging emergent data center issues using a ticketing system
Troubleshooting & configuring network and server hardware
Coordinating remote hands support with colocation providers
Working with cross-functional teams – both internal and external
Leading network & server scaling projects to expand AWS Edge data center infrastructure
Flexibility to occasionally work outside of standard business hours, including nights and weekends, in support of a follow-the-sun on-call rotation and other time-sensitive escalations
Resolving data center facility issues
Performing site audits to ensure safety and quality meets standards
Driving the team to improve operational efficiency through process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience
18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience (including troubleshooting and repair)
Preferred
Experience in a data center or other critical environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT-related field (e.g. computer science, network engineering, etc.)
Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
Understanding of Linux or similar operating systems
Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience
Experience training and onboarding of new team members
