Responsibilities
Analyze and recommend network requirements based on mission needs
Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure
Monitor network capacity, workload, and performance, and provide recommendations for optimization
Diagnose and resolve network problems in a timely manner
Recommend and implement network backup and recovery procedures
Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems and related software
Ensure compliance with DoD and Air Force cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
Support the integration and implementation of enterprise-level networked systems
Provide technical expertise and recommendations during planning and design reviews
Contribute to quality assurance and configuration of network systems
Qualification
Required
Must be a US citizen
Active Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience (3 within DoD) OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications (5 within DoD)
Experience with network architecture design and maintenance
Knowledge of network operating systems and enterprise-level network protocols
Proficiency in monitoring tools for capacity, workload, and performance management
Strong understanding of backup/recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning
Familiarity with DoD/AF cybersecurity principles and security controls for networks
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a cross-functional, integrated product team environment
Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Capable of working independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
Preferred
Master's degree in a related field
CCNP, Security+, Network+, or equivalent
