Geotechnical Project Engineer

Responsibilities

Plan and manage geotechnical field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and testing
Log soil and rock samples and oversee laboratory testing programs
Perform geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining walls, slopes, and earthwork
Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and design recommendations
Provide construction-phase services, including site observations and issue resolution
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal project teams
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field
2–7+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering (experience level flexible)
EIT required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design, and geotechnical testing methods

Preferred

Experience with geotechnical software is a plus
