Marine Inspector Senior Verifying Officer
The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking a Marine Inspector Senior Verifying Officer for the SECTOR SAN FRANCISCO INSPECTIONS DIVISION. This role involves implementing the Marine Inspector qualification program and providing technical expertise and training in maritime safety, vessel inspection, and compliance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
Instructing trainees on vessel's hull and machinery systems
Conducting inspections of vessel's hull and machinery systems
Assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of written, unit-level Marine Inspector qualification program guidance and procedures
Serving as unit's expert to develop in-house training, on the job training and qualification processes, as well as co-chair of unit's marine inspection qualification board
Identifying knowledge gaps or weaknesses and implements and conducts regularly scheduled unit training sessions to facilitate training and qualification of Marine Inspectors/ Port State Control Officers
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

Selectee must be able to obtain/maintain a valid state driver's license
Selectee subject to successful completion of pre-employment medical exam

All Federal employees are required to have Federal salary payments made by direct deposit
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
