Regional Sales Director

Ajulia Executive Search is a leading importer and distributor of premium specialty food products. They are seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead sales activities, manage customer engagement, and drive revenue in the Southern region.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all sales activity across the Southern region, including team performance, customer engagement, and revenue delivery
Drive execution of customer-specific business plans with a strong emphasis on integrity, accountability, and results
Manage the end-to-end selling process to achieve or exceed regional net sales targets
Focus on top-tier customer accounts through direct engagement with executive leaders, buyers, category managers, and key decision-makers
Support and guide regional sales managers and representatives in developing individual plans aligned with overall growth objectives
Partner closely with local, regional, and national distributors to ensure excellent service execution and operator satisfaction
Oversee customer programs including pricing structures, rebates, promotions, and product sampling initiatives
Deliver customer business reviews, category insights, and performance updates
Build a deep understanding of customer organizations and decision-making structures to navigate effectively and influence outcomes
Deploy talent and resources effectively across national accounts, distributor partners, and street business customers
Foster a performance-driven, collaborative team culture that supports engagement, accountability, and morale
Set clear expectations, goals, and performance standards for team members
Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing sales organization
Coach and train team members to strengthen selling skills, product knowledge, and leadership capabilities
Conduct performance evaluations and manage team compensation, travel, and entertainment budgets

Required

10+ years of progressive sales experience
5+ years within the food industry, with strong food service sales exposure
Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing sales teams
Solid understanding of P&L management, forecasting, and demand planning
Strong organizational and administrative skills; CRM experience required (Salesforce preferred)
Exceptional communication and presentation skills across audiences of all sizes
