Responsibilities
Conduct field data collection, entry, report preparation and production, and quality review
Execute field work independently and safely
Communicate regularly with your assigned mentor and field team lead(s)
Comply with field safety and security protocols
Assist with office administration tasks for field staff
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an accredited University or College and pursuing a degree in Wildlife Ecology, Ecology, Wetland Science, Soil Science, Botany, or Environmental Science (or related field)
A minimum of 4 undergraduate semesters in one of the above majors
Demonstrated experience in applied field Ecology
Proven technical, communication, and organizational skills
Proficient in MS Office applications
Ability to endure long days of physically and mentally challenging field work
Ability to walk long distances on uneven ground
Ability to work safely in poor weather conditions
Possess a positive solutions-oriented attitude
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with a team
Ability to work in a dynamic environment
Strong work ethics and integrity
Sense of humor and desire for team success
Good driving record and valid driver's license
Ability to navigate on the road and in the field in remote areas
Preferred
Northeast plant identification skills
