Responsibilities
Provide engineering services for the planning, design and construction of project additions to MidAmerican Energy Company's energy delivery system. (50%)
Provide technical project management for certain phases of a project including scheduling, design, estimates, engineering specifications, drawings, materials procurement, construction contracts, cost tracking and project cost projections. (20%)
Assist with engineering studies and investigations and assist with preparing oral and written reports. (20%)
Provide engineering assistance to other departments and perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (10%)
Provide technical input to assist in development of project planning. Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
1 to 3 years of engineering experience for Engineer 2 position
5 years of industry experience for Senior Engineer position
8 years of industry experience for Senior Engineer 2 position
12 years of industry experience for Principal Engineer position
Effective oral and written communication skills
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation
Preferred
PE license preferred for Engineer 2 position
PE license required for Senior Engineer 2 and Principal Engineer positions
