ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR PROGRAM/PROJECT OPERATIONS

The University of Missouri is seeking an Associate Program Director for the newly-established Johnny Morris Institute of Fisheries, Wetlands, and Aquatics Systems. This position will oversee daily operations, develop a nationally recognized undergraduate education program, and manage partnerships to enhance experiential learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the Johnny Morris Institute. Ensuring daily operations are in compliance with CAFNR, university, local, state and federal policies and regulations
Develop a nationally recognized undergraduate education program in fisheries, wetlands and aquatic systems. This includes efforts to develop and lead teams of staff, faculty, and external partners to design, execute, and evaluate an immersive experiential undergraduate education program that facilitates work force development; develop regional networks for experiential learning opportunities/ implement evaluation protocols, recruit new students and provide support for incoming students; and annually review and revise the comprehensive program design
Coordinate, promote, and supervise student internships and other experiential learning opportunities. Develop and teach relevant undergraduate seminar courses and workshops, as needed in supper of JMI goals. Engage partners in delivery of experiential learning curricula
Curate public facing educational materials and partner communications: maintain/edit website, newsletters and periodicals; develop podcasts and other social media outlets to promote JMI activities and accomplishments. Partner with CAFNR Marcom group for consistency
Contribute to grant proposals that support JMI priorities
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

A proven track record in building collaborative partnerships that engage public and private entities in conservation actions
