Responsibilities
Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements
Ensure all balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and documented
Produce timely and accurate internal financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Support the external CPA firm during year-end reviews and tax filings
Oversee day-to-day AP/AR activities to ensure accurate and efficient processing
Monitor AR aging and proactively follow up on overdue accounts
Manage weekly cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting
Assist with standard costing, COGS tracking, and cycle counts
Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance and prevent fraud/errors
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks
Hands-on experience with financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end close
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, SOS Inventory, or similar)
High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based businesses
CPA designation (or progress toward CPA) is a plus
Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
